Born in Sydney, Australia in 1972. The oldest of 6 children. Lived in most states and capital cities of Australia at some point in time, and have traveled the lap - including Tasmania. Mother was stay at home mum, dad was a Vietnam Veteran and worked in various roles after. Yes I was a post war baby. My parents seperated when I was around 12 yrs old, and I never saw my dad alive again - I was recalled from Iraq to attend his funeral.
Have been married for 20yrs, we met when both in the Army. It has had highs and lows, but that is what makes it so valuable. Two adult children who do not live at home.
I have had cancer and was one of the LUCKY ONES, as I had Thyroid cancer which was easy to spot and one of the easiest to remove - I have had a total thyroidectomy. I have a shitty back (L5/S1 bulge that plays up occasionally) and shitty knees (early stage Osteoarthritis which plays up occasionally). But other than that I would say I am lucky in health (so far), as many are are much worse off than I am.
I am Colour Blind (yes a colour blind photographer). And no I do not see the world in black and white - I just see colours different...

OUR DOG
At the start of 2026 we got a puppy, his name is OZY (he came home with us on Australia Day). He is a straight haired Cavoodle. He is very clever and food driven - so reasonably easy to train. He has passed level one (Foundation) obedience training and we are now in level two. He loves to find food and other scents I hide around the house - for a reward of course.
My life has been a good one so far - sure I have had some challenges to overcome throughout my life and had to be very resilient and independant, but it has not been a bad life. Many others have had a more difficult path, so I cannot (should not) complain..
